वो दिल ही क्या
वो दिल ही क्या जो उसको देखकर धड़के ना
वो आँख ही क्या जो उसकी दीद को तड़पे ना
वो जान है, हर महफिल की
वो आदम ही क्या जो उसको पाने को तरसे ना
वो रहता है, दुआ बनकर हर किसी के लबों पर
वो सर ही क्या जो उसके सजदे को झुके ना
वो मीर की नज़म, वो गलिब की गजल
वो आशिक ही क्या जो उसको पढ़ने को मचले ना
वो चाँद है जन्नत का इस ज़मीन पर
वो बच्चा, बूढा, जवान क्या जो उसके लिये भटके ना
वो अगर छुले प्यार से किसी को एकबार
वो मुफ़लिस ही क्या जो खुद को बादशाह समझे ना

That is not the heart which does not beat on looking at her
That is not the eye which does not long for meeting him
She is the life and blood of every congregation
That is not the ego which does not have any longing for having her
She lives in the shape of prayers on the be lips of everybody
That is not the head which does not bow in his worship
She is the poem of Meer and the lyrics of Ghalib
That is not the lover who does not aspire to read it
She is the moon of heaven on this earth
That is not the child or the young man or the old person who does not go astray for his sake
If anybody touches her with love
That poor man is not the one who does not consider him the emperor
