खुद को हमेशा तन्हा पाया

मैंने खुद को हमेशा तन्हा पाया
डूबकर भी तुझमे, खुद को प्यासा पाया
था हर वक़्त मेरी आंखो के सामने तू
फिर भी दोनों मे मिलो का फासला पाया

एकबार छूना चाहता था, तुमको करीब से
पर मेरे नसीब मे वो मंज़र कभी न आया
भूले से जब कभी आ जाता था, सामने तू
ऐसा लगता था, सुनी हवेली मे किसी परिंदे ने घर पाया

उम्र बीत गयी, चाहने मे तुझको
पर तू जो एकबार गया, फिर लौट के न आया
बसा चुका है, किसी और के साथ अपनी दुनिया तू
फिर भी मैंने हमेशा तुझे अपने करीब पाया

I always found myself alone
Even by drowning in you, I found myself thirsty
You were in front of my eyes all the time
Even then there was a distance between both

Wanted to touch you once
It’s my misfortune that the time never came
Whenever you came in front of me
It was like a bird found a house in deserted mansion

My age passed in love with you
But once you went, you didn’t come back
You have settled your world with someone else
Still i always find you close to me
